Statuts
This is from "statuts" for a company, and the "actions" referred to are the shares held by the directors as guarantees for the performance of the board.
In the following sentence do you think "caisse sociale" could be translated by "the company's account"? I've found capital stock for caisse sociale in the glossary, but it doesn't make sense because it seems that the actual share certificates are physically deposited in this "caisse".

In accounting, the "caisse" is the actual cash on hand, which is considered to be kept physically in a "caisse".
"social" clearly refers to the company.
So... I think that what they mean is that the shares are deposited in the company HQ's "cash box"... however strange that may seem.
The fact that the shares in question are clearly actual physical bits of paper also suggests they are talking about the physical cash box.
In reality, of course, I would assume actual petty cash is dealt with less primitively.
I am not absolutely confident about this one.

Comment: "I have to say I'm still not totally sure which to choose between "account" and "cash box", but Christopher's explanation was really clear and logical. Thanks to everyone for their input and help!"
