épandage
I have virtually zero context for this word which generally seems to mean "spreading" (an action). In my doc. it's used as an object (I think) and not as an action.

* Note: non-member askers are not given the option of entering 'pro' questions; the only way for their questions to be classified as 'pro' is for a ProZ.com member or members to re-classify it.

Whether there is some kind of containment system in place, we can only guess, but as this zone extends up to 10 cm above ground level over the top of something, it seems to me that there is a distinct possibility that this is indeed the perfectly standard meaning of 'épandage' as a 'soakaway' (as commonly found for septic tanks etc., but perhaps here we are talking hazardous chemicals or somesuch?)
