Spanish term
referenciado (sentence)
Spanish to English
Tech/Engineering
Energy / Power Generation
Se presenta el plano referenciado con la ubicación del proyecto y las áreas naturales protegidas más próximas.
My question is, does referenciado refer only to the map (the map mentioned, the map referenced, etc.), or does it refer to the rest of the sentence, i.e. the map has the location of the project marked along with the nearest protected nature areas?
Thanks.

The map referred to, including the location of the project .....
I think this should only "refer to" the "map referred to" here.

reference map
The reference map pinpoints the exact geographical position of any piece of land, city, route, river, etc.
It is a geographic reference system.
Normally each country has its own system. Examples:
USGS
NGRS,
Sistema de referencia geodésica oficial,
Sistema de coordinadas UTM,
See,
http://www.microimages.com/refman/xhtml/BASIC018.HTM
For example, if you have a scanned USGS topographic map in the polyconic projection, you can georeference (or translate existing georeference for) satellite images and vector overlays to the same projection. If none of your project materials are georeferenced, you can select a coordinate system or a user-defined projection with appropriate qualities for your study site
http://www.fao.org/DOCREP/003/T0390E/T0390E07.htm
This geographic information is a base map and is normally obtained directly or indirectly from available reference mapping, http://bellwether.metapress.com/content/282631383tg84515/
Also taken into account were materials from thematic and general reference mapping. of the territory
