Non-PRO Spanish to English Tech/Engineering Construction / Civil Engineering metallic profiled sheets

The word "remate" in Spanish means "ending" more or less. In English I have found two words connected with this term: flashing and trim. My question is: which one is the most accurated?. Thanks a lot, Lola (Spain)
