I mean the memorial plaque. Then at least the date of the pandemic is more or less correct.

It's not even needed to know that the language is English.

'Is it a tribute to bad grammar? Council's garbled Covid memorial plaque is mocked for having an array of spelling and punctuation errors including rogue capital letters and the US spelling of honour – and it even gets the date of the pandemic wrong'
It's the thought that counts.

I'm absolutely sickened that nothing has been done to thank these people. A tree doesn't cut it. ▲ Collapse

Swindon only exists because it was built as a train servicing town when Brunel built the Great Western Railway from London to Bristol (which at one time was the fastest way from London to America; the railway connected with fast steamships - also designed by the enterprising Brunel).
So Swindon has the shallowest of shallow cultural roots. They hardly go back any distance in time at all. Imagine living in Swindon.
