Description:

SDL Trados Studio 2011 can open and process any kind of XML. However, sometimes you have to define a custom file type to effectively handle a given XML document, for example, when you need to exclude specific content from translation. In this session you will learn how to prepare a custom file type for effectively handle a specific XML document.

Speakers:Massimo Ghislandi
Massimo Ghislandi is Vice President Sales & Marketing, Translation Productivity at SDL Language Technologies. A native of Italy, he is a business administration graduate from Bocconi University, Milano, and a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (MCIM). With over ten years of business- to-business marketing experience, Massimo has held positions within product marketing management and marketing communications departments at various large international corporations including Avery Dennison and ITT Industries.

He is now managing the world-wide marketing activities for SDL Language Technologies where he has gained invaluable expertise on translation and terminology technology as well as global information management.
Ziad Chama
Studied translating and interpreting in Munich. Worked as a freelance translator from 1996 to 1999 before joining SDL Trados as a product manager in 2000. From 2007 until today working as a freelance SDL Trados consultant.

some problems with XML translations in Studio SLD 2011 Jun 20, 2012

I need some hep, I am translating big xml documents, I use a DTD file from the client, I have problem when transfering tags to target segments..
