CONCEPT DU PROJET - ‘’LA FARINE ENRICHIE’’
SAREPTA est un projet qui vise à pallier le problème de sécurité alimentaire dans les villages environnants de la ville de Sarh.
Nous voudrions saisir cette opportunité d’appel à proposition pour contribuer à améliorer l’alimentation des enfants de 6 à 59 mois à travers des unités de fabrication et de distribution de farine enrichie. Cette farine sera également destinée aux femmes enceintes pour assurer une bonne croissance du fœtus. Cette farine va contribuer au développement de la faculté physique des enfants malnutris et réduire la vulnérabilité liée aux maladies infantiles.
OBSTACLES CLES A L’ACCES A LA FARINE ENRICHIE
o Le modèle actuel basé sur l’achat ne permet pas à la majorité des femmes d’avoir accès à la farine enrichie ;
o Les ménages ne sont pas à mesure de fabriquer eux-mêmes la farine enrichie à cause de la pauvreté, du pouvoir d’achat et de méconnaissance des techniques et normes de fabrication de la farine enrichie ;
o Insuffisance de sensibilisation et de prise de conscience du bienfait de la farine enrichie.
SOLUTIONS
Pour pallier aux problèmes susmentionnés, SAREPTA mettra en œuvre les activités suivantes :
o Sensibilisation des ménages sur la nécessité de la farine enrichie en impliquant les centres de santé, les agents de la nutrition et les autorités locales ;
o Organisation d’une enquête avec les applications mobiles pour définir les critères de vulnérabilité des ménages bénéficiaires de la distribution subventionnée ;
o Identifier un réseau de producteur agricole et maraicher afin d’assurer une livraison des produits répondant aux normes nutritionnelles ;
o Assurer la disponibilité et l’accessibilité en produisant et en distribuant la farine enrichie.
PARTICULARITE DE NOTRE PROJET
La valeur ajoutée de notre projet consisterait à générer de l’emplois directs et indirects au profit des jeunes et des femmes dans la zone du projet. Ce projet est incubé (accompagnement technique) par le CEFOM (Centre Evangélique de Formation d’Orientation et des Métiers), à travers deux consultants permanents qui appuient l’équipe projet (sans contrepartie financière).
IMPACT DU PROJET
Ce projet aura pour impact l’amélioration des conditions des ménages et la réduction des taux de mortalités et morbidités infantiles. Il contribuera également à renforcer la croissance physique et le développement cognitif des enfants.

DESCRIPTION DU BUDJET
Le budget pour la réussite du projet est évalué à 19 990 USD répartis comme suit :
o Production de la farine : 12 568 USD
o Equipement pour le projet : 2 975 USD
o Incitation de l’équipe : 3 600 USD
o Suivi et évaluation : 519 USD
o Charges administratives : 328 USD
En plus de ce montant, il y’a le coût pour développer l’application mobile pour les enquêtes qui seront supportés par l’incubateur CEFOM.
NOTRE VISION A LONG TERME
A long terme, nous voulons créer un centre nutritionnel pas seulement pour les enfants malnutris, mais aussi pour les personnes âgées. Ce centre fera la promotion des bonnes pratiques et des méthodes innovantes en matière de nutrition.
Translation - English SAREPTA: PROPOSAL FOR THE FIRST ROUND
CONCEPT NOTE OF THE PROJECT - FORTIFIED FLOUR
SAREPTA is a project that aims to alleviate the problem of food security in the villages surrounding the town of Sarh.
We would like to seize this opportunity to contribute to the improvement of the nutrition of children from the age of 6 to 59 months through manufacturing and distribution units of enriched flour. This flour will also be used by pregnant women to ensure good growth of the foetus. This flour will contribute to the development of the physical capacity of malnourished children and reduce vulnerability to childhood diseases.
KEY OBSTACLES TO ACCESS TO FORTIFIED FLOUR
o The current purchase-based model does not allow the majority of women to access fortified flour;
o Households are not able to make fortified flour themselves due to poverty, purchasing power and lack of knowledge of fortified flour production techniques and standards;
o Lack of sensitization and awareness of the benefits of fortified flour.
SOLUTIONS
To address the above problems, SAREPTA will implement the following activities:
o Raising awareness of households on the importance of fortified flour by involving health centres, nutrition officers and local authorities;
o Organisation of a survey with mobile applications to define the vulnerability criteria of households benefiting from the subsidised distribution;
o Identify a network of agricultural and market gardener producers to ensure delivery of products that meet nutritional standards;
o Ensure availability and accessibility by producing and distributing fortified flour.
SPECIFICITY OF OUR PROJECT
The added value of our project would be to generate direct and indirect employment for young people and women in the project area. This project is incubated (technical support) by CEFOM (Centre Evangélique de Formation d'Orientation et des Métiers; Evangelical Centre for Training, Orientation and Careers, for English), through two permanent consultants who support the project team (without financial compensation)
PROJECT IMPACT
This project will have the impact of improving household conditions and reducing child mortality and morbidity rates. It will also contribute to strengthening the physical growth and cognitive development of children.

BUDGET DESCRIPTION

In addition to this amount, there is the cost of developing the mobile application for the surveys which will be borne by the CEFOM incubator.
OUR LONG-TERM VISION
In the long term, we want to create a nutritional centre not only for malnourished children, but also for the elderly. This centre will promote good practices and innovative methods in nutrition.
