Job description:
Japanese Technical Writer (Remote)

We are seeking an experienced Japanese Technical Writer to join our team remotely. Commitment to completing approximately 20 manuals required.

Key Responsibilities:
• Clear, concise, and easy-to-understand technical manuals in Japanese for various electronic devices and products.
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to gather information and ensure accuracy in documentation.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, adhering to deadlines and project specifications.
• Utilize technical writing software such as Adobe FrameMaker, MadCap Flare, and Microsoft Office Suite to produce documentation.
• Conduct research to understand complex information and present it in a simplified manner for end-users.
• Demonstrate attention to detail to maintain accuracy and consistency in manuals.

Qualifications:
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Japanese. Fluency in English or other languages is advantageous.
• Preferably a degree in Electronics Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
• Bachelor's or master's degree in technical writing or a related field is highly beneficial.
• Experience in technical writing, with familiarity with different writing styles and standards.
• Proficiency in technical writing software and drawing tools for creating diagrams and figures.
• Strong research skills to understand products and users' needs.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment.
• Understanding of user experience and ability to write with the end-user in mind.

Additional Details:
The position is remote, with occasional travel to onsite to understand the requirements. Travel expenses will be covered. Initial training will be provided online. Payment will be based on actual working hours. Commitment to completing approximately 20 manuals required. The actual project is expected to start in July 2024 but the interview and training will proceed right away for the shortlisted candidates.
