En un contrato de promesa de compraventa de un terreno. El documento es de México.

CLAUSULAS
CUARTA.- La falta de cumplimiento de cualquera (sic) de las obligaciones contraídas por el promitente comprador así como que el mismo intente ceder los derechos derivados de este contrato sin el consentimiento del promitente vendedor o a circunstancia de que los mismos sean objetos de ejecución judicial o administrativa, darán derecho al promitente vendedor **para proceder a su ejecución a**:

1.- Dar por vencida anticipadamente la totalidad de la deuda a cargo del promitente comprador; o
2.- Dar por resindido (sic) automatiamante (sic) este contrato, con la devolución de las cantidades que éste haya entregado al promitente vendedor.

As you may have noticed, it's not the best drafted agreement in the world.

The part that's throwing me is the bit between the **, unless perhaps there should be a "y" between "ejecución" and "a"? Either that, or the "a" in "a su ejecución" should be interpreted as "upon"...?
Syntactically, "los mismos" can only refer to "derechos derivados de este contrato", as far as I can tell.

Yes, I agree with 'upon', if the phrase had been closed with commas > para proceder, a su ejecución, a: to move or take steps, upon the operation or completion of such court-ordered or administrative (quaere: BrE compulsory purchase > AmE eminent domain) mortgage-type foreclosure or levy of such rights (interests in land > terreno)* to....

Also agree with our friend Wilsonn's sentiments, whilst we need to bear in mind not only the literacy but of sobriety of the drafter (draftsman /woman) of the document in question. Not all lawyers or bankers, whether Mexican, Cuban, Spanish, British or Danish are averse to a 'liquid lunch', but I am not at liberty to say any more.

Thank you, I think your interpretation is correct. If, as you say, the phrase had been set off by commas, it would have been a lot easier.
