"ángulo" can be used to refer to the corner of a room, e.g.

Some furniture manufacturers will offer you two different types of side for a wardrobe etc.: one will have a good quality finish if the wardrobe is going to go in the middle of a wall with the side visible; and the other will just be functional (and cheaper) if the side is going to be pushed up against a wall in a corner or against another piece of furniture. So possibly (?) your term could refer to a side/end which is not going to be "on show".
