Spanish term

de planta

Spanish to English Tech/Engineering Architecture
This is a description of a building. I understand the measurements of each level to be 82m by 82m, but I suspect that there is a technical term to express the idea of "de planta" that relates it to the occupancy of the ground. The sentence reads:

Thanks

Nikki Graham Jun 17, 2013:
Was just about the say the same The floor area in your case = 80,000m2
Wendy Gosselin (asker) Jun 17, 2013:
Thanks! From what I am seeing online, floor area refers to the entire surface area constructed rather than the measurements of a single level (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Floor_area_(building)). What do you think?

ground level

The dimensions of a building can change at different levels. It is sometimes referred to as a building footprint.

per floor

I would treat it as simple maths:

82m x 82m per floor, giving a total area of 80,000 m2
Example sentence:

82m x 82m per floor, giving a total area of 80,000 m2
