Mesmo assim, como trata-se de capital inicial integralizado pelos fundadores para formar o capital social, que eu chamaria: the start-up capital ou the investors' initial equity investment, eu diria que cada investidor detem um "equity share" - (participacao no capital social).

In other words, the proper translation of "quotas sociais" in this case is "OUTSTANDING SHARES."
