German term

n.e.

German to English Tech/Engineering Manufacturing
This is in a documentation checklist and appears as an option alongside i.O. and n.i.O. I know that these mean in Ordnung and nicht in Ordnung but I can't work out what n.e. means.

Discussion

Nicole Islinger Apr 14, 2013:
I would also ask the client. Anything else is guessing, escpecially when used longside to i.O or n.i.O.
Heather McCrae Apr 12, 2013:
nicht ermessbar? ask your client or provide more context about the process to which the checklist refers... :)
Uta Kappler Apr 11, 2013:
more context might really help to decide<br>
To throw in yet another option what about "nicht erkannt", in case this should be in the context of QC and related to optical recognition of good and bad parts
Charlotte Farrell Apr 11, 2013:
I would definitely ask the client, if possible.
BrigitteHilgner Apr 11, 2013:
nicht eingetragen, nicht enthalten Without sensible context, this is mere guesswork.
Lis Liesicke Apr 11, 2013:
nicht erlaubt, nicht erörtert
(taking up Coqueiro's challenge :) )
Coqueiro Apr 11, 2013:
nicht erforderlich, nicht erstellt
Lis Liesicke Apr 11, 2013:
could be anything - nicht erteilt or nicht entsprechend or nicht eingesehen - it may be best to ask your client
Coqueiro Apr 11, 2013:
nicht ermittelt / nicht erhoben perhaps - and depending on your context.

I am aware of the fact that these examples may not 100% match your individual context.
