German term or phrase: mit einer Teilleistung in Vorleistung zugehen
Hello,
I know that there is already a discussion here about "in Vorleistung gehen" , but still I somehow can't understand the whole meaning of the sentence:

Der Auftragnehmer behält sich vor, jeweils nur mit einer Teilleistung in Vorleistung zugehen.

The is taken from a Werkunternehmervertrag.

Can anybody help?

Thanks

to be in advance with one instalment

Explanation:
In other words, the contractor undertakes to be in advance (as opposed to being in arrears) with one instalment only. This is assuming that "Leistung" means "payment" (as in monetary payment) here, although I can't think of another feasible translation at this point.
