Scheinbalkon

German to English Marketing Construction / Civil Engineering Timber houses
From a brochure for timber/log houses:

"Markanter Blickfang: Ein Scheinbalkon prägt das Bikd der charakteristischen Fassade und spendet angenehmen Halbschatten auf der großzügigen Veranda"

"False balcony"?? On the photo it looks real enough, but does this imply it's stuck on the front of the house for decorative purposes, and you can't actually step out onto it? Seems odd to me!
