English to German Marketing Marketing Market Research REport

Hello,

Still working on that marketing research report ... I came across the following:

"As prices for Product A increase, some consumers switch to other, similar products from the same companies which are less expensive than Product A. As a result, the companies generate similar revenues and higher margins, meaning that the profit pool for the companies increases despite downtrading."

How would you translate "profit pool" here? I found "Gewinngemeinschaft" in LEO, but that is not correct here, since they are talking about a company that increases its "profit pool" due to a diverse product palette. Would "Gesamtprofit" be ok? Or "Rentabilität insgesamt"? Other suggestions?
