Fiscalia del menor

Spanish to English Law/Patents Law (general)
This is the name of a government office (and the person who represents it) in Spain, that takes care of youth (Minors) legal affairs.

Does anyone know what the translation or equivalent would be for this title.

I take into account this situation in my translation. The term attorneys is used for both the counsel of minors and the prosecutor. We used this translation in South America, and the office here has similar characteristics than in Spain.

Thanks for all your interest Henry. It's a tough one. It's the name for the office, and the head of that office, although no doubt there are various departments.
Its deals with both the protection and correction (prosecution) of minors, here in Spain, and is always named in this way in the media, without reference to any particular department. There are declarations from this social figure rather than from the department.
I have used the title "Government Office for Youth Affairs" but am not happy with it.
I'll leave the query up a little longer to see if there are any other suggestions.

I would suggest researching this Spanish institution to determine its precise functions and decide accordingly. I can't help much, though of Irish ancestry, I speak USA English and Mexican Spanish, but greetings to the Old Sod!

My reason for asking is that there is quite a variety in youth "legal affairs" including prosecuting juvenile delinquents, child protective services and affairs of other kinds (civil, etc.) that could involve youths. Each area could have a specific name.

What kind of youth legal affairs? It makes a difference (CONTEXT). Otherwise we are guessing. Also, what is the destination country for the translation? You want to use a term familiar to them (CONTEXT).

Por ejemplo, en los Estados Unidos se utiliza este término (attorneys office) para los abogados que representan al estado, ya sea como fiscales o en aquellos casos en que el estado es llevado a juicio por un particular. Es el término más amplio y que sirve para este contexto.
Utilizo este término para el caso de los menores, que también son representados por un abogado en los casos que puedan repercutir en ellos (familia, etc) obligatoriamente por ley.

The office you are referring to could be "Department of children and families' services" (Departamento de servicios para el menor y la familia).
