Hi folks
I know this word is already in the glossary, but tee-shirt doesn't float my boat in this context:
"Anche dopo averli centrifugati, i capi di spugna trattengono una grande quantità d’acqua; ciò avviene anche con il programma di lavaggio consigliato per i capi più delicati, quali magliette, perché, vengono centrifugati a bassa velocità."
I am translating an owner's handbook for a tumble dryer and have been getting into some very hot water this morning on care labels and clothing.

Comment: "Thanks to all for wrestling with this one. I am mainly awarding on a time-basis here because in the end I simply pretended the word didn't appear in the Italian text and just mentioned "delicates". What they actually meant remains a mystery - I notice that "jersey" is one possible translation of "maglietta" so maybe that's some kind of knitted garment. Totally out of my depth here I'm afraid. Thanks to Angela and Ivana for your brainstorming.

"Magliette" means tops or t-shirts and nothing more!!
"Tops" can be in cotton material or delicate material, so would fit, the only thing is "tops" are for females only....
