El Ministro De Vido había sido nombrado Interventor de YPF en reemplazo de su Directorio; y, si bien también era miembro del Poder Ejecutivo, las atribuciones que tenía para actuar en cualquiera de esas dos calidades fueron establecidas en el Decreto 530/2012 que sustituyó temporalmente al directorio de YPF por el interventor.

Gracias and thanks, Chris. Government-appointed literally lost me 'confidence' and the DTI / UK Dept. of Trade and Industry appointment of 'Inspectors' seemed not only too Anglo-centric, but also caused me a 'Sub-Inspector' dilemma for US consumption..

A receiver usually deals with cases of bankruptcy-type situations.
A comptroller, although similar, is something else again:

If you can cut through the semantic overlap, I think you'll find that "auditor" is the most likely catchall term in most cases.
