Spanish term

plantar con oliva retrocapital

Spanish to English Medical Medical (general) Medical report
From a report, probably out of Uruguay, summarizing 30+ doctors visits.
This specific one was precipitated by foot pain.

Lesion base del 5 mt sin lesiones [sic], sin hiperqueratosis sin supuración en apirexia sin actividad infecciosa
se indicó:
***Plantar con oliva retrocapital**** descarga central de cabeza de mt y descarga 2 al 5 mt

I'm thinking "descarga" would literally mean "take the load off." Next question will be continuation of the subject phrase.

I'm thinking this is a metatarsal pad or something like that. What do the pros think?

Thank you!

supportive insole with metatarsal pad/ball of foot cushion

I've seen references for 'retrocapital support' but I think the texts were translations.

La metatarsalgia no se cura ni se corrige, solo podemos aliviar sus síntomas. Para ello debemos valorar el uso de unas plantillas adecuadas a cada persona que descarguen la zona metatarsal mediante el uso de olivas, barras retrocapitales y/o soportes del arco longitudinal.

The F-Scan system was used to measure peak plantar pressures in 11 diabetics each with a unilateral great toe amputation and an intact contralateral extremity (nonamputated), to evaluate the effectiveness of five footwear-insole strategies: 1) extra-depth shoes without an insole, 2) extra-depth shoes with a Plastizote insole, 3) extra-depth shoes with a Plastizote insole and a metatarsal pad, 4) extra-depth shoes with a Plastizote insole and a medial longitudinal arch pad, and 5) extra-depth shoes with a Plastizote insole and a combination of metatarsal pad and arch pad.

orthotic insole with retrocapital bar

A retrocapital bar reduces pressure on the forefoot.
Example sentence:

Most authors suggested that an insole with medial arch support and a retrocapital bar or pad, just proximal to the metatarsal heads, displaces the pressure sites and can be beneficial to relieve the pain from the pinched nerve.
