The "adecuación" element refers to the skill of using the linguistic elements to perform speech acts appropriately in different situations/contexts. I don't think "adjustment" expresses this. Normally educational text like this talk about skills and competencies.

Cf. José Patrico's suggestion "adaptation"... I agree that this is the intended meaning. The "adaptation" or suitability or appropriateness of utterances in different contexts. This is a specific skill or competency.
The "adecuación" element refers to the skill of using the linguistic elements to perform speech acts appropriately in different situations/contexts. I don't think "adjustment" expresses this. Normally educational text like this talk about skills and competencies.
