Discussion

writeaway May 26, 2019:
my guess (after researching) would be equity in joint ownership (or something along those lines). Corporate is not my thing.

Neil Crockford (asker) May 26, 2019:
From the address given, it's Belgian.
Text below is : 3600 delen nr 1 t.e.m. 3600 in vruchtgebruik
philgoddard May 26, 2019:
And if it's a heading, what does it say underneath? It sounds like a slogan.
writeaway May 26, 2019:
Is this a Belgian text? Is this Belgian or Dutch?

This seems to be about a Belgian civil-law partnership, a vehicle commonly used for the purpose of estate planning.

For an explanation of its key characteristics, refer to pp. 3-5 of https://lib.ugent.be/fulltxt/RUG01/002/272/458/RUG01-0022724...

neutral writeaway : I know this terminology from wills/property translation. Imo that's not the case here /I saw those reference too. I'm sure Mr Crockford will be able to get the right terminology.

Given the references to 'burgerlijke maatschap' and 'delen ... in vruchtgebruik' (i.e. assets contributed and donated to the joint property of the partnership subject to the donor's usufruct), I think my references make perfect sense..
agree Tina Vonhof (X) : I think the references make sense but without seeing more of the document in question it will be hard to come up with an English translation.
