Spanish term

DECANATO

Spanish to English Other Education / Pedagogy
Appears in a Venezuelan university grade transcript in the heading, "Decanato de Estudios Generales". I can't see how Dean's Office would fit.

Discussion

Adrian MM. Apr 2, 2019:
Thanks, Charles D. - for referring to Columbia University where a US-born relative of mine had been Professor of Industrial Engineering & Operations Research, rather than Dean of General Studies.
Charles Davis Apr 2, 2019:
@Chris There are plenty of Deans of General Studies in US universities (notably including Columbia), if that's an issue for you.

Selected

Dean of General Studies Office.

Another option would be "Deanery", but I'm positive that term is only for religious hierarchy.
