French term
surcharge bronchique

Medical
Medical: Cardiology
Thoracic radiology
This is part of a very short (i.e. without a lot of context) translation I am working on with the results of someone's chest X-ray. While I'm an expert in medical imaging terminology, that doesn't necessarily mean I know how to describe what the imaging uncovers! I am trying to find the best translation for "surcharge bronchique" in the following context:
Persistance d'un discret émoussement du cul-de-sac pleural droit.
Surcharge bronchique postéro-basale droite.
This Kudoz entry made me wonder if "surcharge" can be translated as "congestion": https://www.proz.com/kudoz/french_to_english/medical_general...
If so, the full translation of that line would be (I think): "Right posterior basal bronchial congestion."
But I want to make sure, because without a little more familiarity with the subject, I am worried about just throwing together words and hoping they're correct.
Thank you!

bronchial wall thickening, increased bronchial markings
I am not familiar with the term "surcharge bronchique" and it does not seem to be very common, either.
Merely based on the x-ray images found on the web under "surcharge bronchique", I would call it "increased bronchial markings" (most people would say "bronchiovascular markings", as bronchi and their accompanying vessels react together and cannot clearly be distinguished on x-rays), or else, bronchial wall thickening.
Either sign would be an indication of bronchiopneumonia (infection descending from the airways into the lungs, rather than originating in the lung tissue as in the case of interstitial pneumonia).

Discussion
Congestion is usually "encombrement".
"Surcharge" is usually associated with fluid overload, so on further research I have supported Anne's answer.
