German term

Kniewippe

German to English Tech/Engineering Furniture / Household Appliances
Es geht um eine Kurzbeschreibung von Bürodrehstühlen:

Kniewippe: arretierbar, gewichtsabhängig regulierbar, höhenverstellbar

Ich bin mir nicht sicher, ob ein einfaches "tilt" hier ausreichend ist.
Proposed translations (English)

Wendy Streitparth Jul 8, 2015:
It wouldn't be referring to a kneeling chair would it? http://www.ergonomickneelingchairs.org/articles/evolution-of...
Armorel Young Jul 8, 2015:
knee tilt I think frreekfluweel and Jacek are probably right - it looks as though a chair with knee-tilt is one that where the seat will rock back and forth while you keep your feet on the floor.
Coqueiro Jul 8, 2015:
toggle lever mechanism perhaps? If Kniewippe is used as a synonym for Kniehebelmechanismus.

knee tilt? http://www.ergocentric.com/catalogue.asp?id=264

... probably Kniewippe translated from English...

Adjustable kneeling surface

Hi everybody,
Could this be referring to the kneeling surface of this kind of chair?
If you look at the picture there is a knob under the kneeling surface. Which would fit with the "kniewippe" being lockable, weight released/ adjustable ( Kneel on it and your weight releases a locking mechanism) and height adjustable.
