: "payday" is the date when a person receives their wages; totally wrong here, as is "face value"

: What you say is true, but I think you've missed the point. The question is how to render the fact that the value date is the date of physical payment (J+0) if made before midday. "Date de valeur" and "payment in date" are not necessarily the same.
