Spanish term

distancia minuto (DM)

Spanish to English Science Livestock / Animal Husbandry anaesthesia in spaying
This is a research article comparing various anaesthesia protocols in ovariohysterectomy in dogs.

"distancia minuto" is one of the parameters the authors compared:

"Se compararon los siguientes parámetros en dos momentos (T0, antes del estímulo quirúrgico y T1, durante la tracción del POv): frecuencia cardiaca (FC), presión arterial media (PAM), fracción espirada de isofluorano (FeIso), distancia latido (DL), **distancia minuto (DM)**, velocidad pico (VP), aceleración media (AM) y tiempo de flujo corregido (TFc)."

I know that the immediately preceding parameter, "distancia latido", is interbeat interval, which suggests to me that "distancia minuto" may also have something to do with intervals, but interval of what, exactly, per minute? I thought for a while it might be beats per minute, but that's the same as heart rate, which is already mentioned.

European Spanish going into British English.

Many thanks.

Minute distance (MD)

Please find the example below, it is in the same area.
Example sentence:

"A non-invasive, easy to use, commercially available esophageal doppler monitor (EDM, Deltex) has been found to provide minute distance (MD), which is the distance moved by a column of blood through the aorta in 1 min."

Thanks Aliciaa; I did in fact close this question because I found the answer earlier, which I posted in the discussion.
