English term

first choice tools

English Bus/Financial Management a list of must-dos for a good company manager
The sentence comes within a bulleted list and reads: "I use First Choice tools to continuously improve the business". I am not sure to be catching the whole meaning. Does it mean something like "cutting-edge tools" or "specialized tools"?

Don't know if it is relevant, but just in case: text has probably been written in the UK.

Many thanks in advance for your ideas.

Tx Thank you so much for your time and postings!
Trudy Peters Dec 3, 2013:
@Max Yes, "state-of-the-art" would be better here than "cutting-edge" :)
Max Deryagin Dec 3, 2013:
Ugh... There are just too many companies named 'First Choice' in the UK. Figuring which is the right one seems to be not quite feasible. Chances are, the writer simply meant 'optimal, best, state-of-the-art' or something along those lines.

Logistics - document with dos and dont's Thanks so much for all your input. The document is aimed at managers working for a global transportation & logistics company. In general, I wouldn't say it uses a formal tone.
Max Deryagin Dec 3, 2013:
@ Fabio Are there any cues in the text as to what kind of business that person improves?
Charles Davis Dec 3, 2013:
If it's not a brand then it probably means the best available, the market leaders. But it's not really a standard expression, in my opinion.
Victoria Britten Dec 3, 2013:
My thought too and there are plenty to choose from on Google...
Fabio Gutiérrez (X) (asker) Dec 3, 2013:
@ Charles Thank you, Charles! I thougth about it, too. However, I haven't found any clues relevant enough to support this theory. On the other hand, there are lots of capitalized words within the text not being commercial names.
Charles Davis Dec 3, 2013:
@ Fabio If First Choice is capitalised in your text it could well be a brand name.
