English term

conspiracy

English to German Law/Patents Law (general) illegale Preisabsprachen

Hier zwei Passagen:

On October 1, 2002, G admitted during a telephone conversation with K, which was recorded by K as part of his continuing concerns about possible anticompetitive conduct by AAA, that bid rigging had in fact occurred in the past as a result of a **conspiracy** between B and C, blaming D and E for that practice, but vigorously asserting that F had not continued it. Effective September 16, 2002, G had been named as technical general manager of F, and had in turn retained H as an officer of F. Upon information and belief, under the auspices of G and H, F has continued its **conspiracy** with C to rig bids and allocated the global market in heat exchangers and pressure vessels.

Through its control of the majority of both B’s outstanding shares of stock, and of its board of directors, C utilized B as an unwitting pawn in such **conspiracy** for the purpose of submitting “complementary” bids (i.e., “cover” or “courtesy” bids that were either too high to be accepted, or that contained special terms unacceptable to the buyer), with the clandestine purpose of assuring that A would be the successful bidder.

@Angie

I didn\'t really mean to agree to Komplott, so please make it neutral. A Komplott is either political or private, but in this case it\'s an offence. Wirtschaftskriminalität. Komplotteschmieden ist aber Privatvergnügen und nicht a priori strafbar.

Komplott

might be another possibility.
I like Christiane's suggestion too, but I'm not sure if it's the "conspiracy" that's illegal, or just the result (i.e. the bid rigging). Or maybe I'm just splitting hairs :-)

agree Anglo-German (X) : In Germany the con. is illegal - it's a con-game :-) Verstoß gg. das Kartellgesetz.

Komplott

...wäre meines Erachtens auch möglich.

Viel Glück!

neutral Anglo-German (X) : Not in this case IMHO.
