Spanish term

hacer que se registren contablemente

Gracias nuevamente

gerund or noun Hey guys, I´m not sure, but if describing a job, wouldn´t we just use a noun or gerund? ... "- Llevar archivos de compras internacionales y **hacer que se registren contablemente** = international purchase filing and their registration into accounting records? Just a thought. Cheers

Versions I like Sergio's version much better, plus it is not the same as Paul's, it is more accurate. We use both in the USA, but Sergio nailed it here.

I'm leaving this duplicated entry because I reported this problem to ProZ, and they asked me to tell them next time it happened.

Spanish native speakers Just my opinion, but I think Paul's answer (or some variation thereof) is the only correct version. Yvonne's previous question caused similar confusion. We would say "ensure that", which means either do it yourself, or get it done by the appropriate person.

agree Richard Cadena : This is what I would have used. I use the "have something done" structure right and left. It solves a lot of problems for me. Saludos from Mexico.

...and ensure that they are entered into the accounting records

o "...and ensure that they are recorded in the accounting documentation" o algo parecido.
