The term Splutch is derived from "Splined Clutch" and is a gear case assembly located behind the pulley. Hence the name Splutch Pulley. It's the pulley attached to the Splutch (gear case) assembly. Please don't translate the word Splutch. Technicians are aware of the term Splutch and what it is and represents.
