French term

puissance comparée

French to English Tech/Engineering Energy / Power Generation Electricity from renewable energy
"X ( the 2 parties) ont le droit de réduire la puissance installée/comparée totale maximale des Unités de Production..."

Preliminary agreement, here setting out maximum output to be purchased.

I have "installed capacity" for puissance installée

All help gratefully received

Ah, it all makes sense now! I should have thought of it with the Spanish "comprada"!
Jack Dunwell (asker) Feb 15, 2011:
Sylvain I just tried Romanian, and of course Sangro popped up "cumparata" means "purchased" it seems
So there we are.
Jack Dunwell (asker) Feb 15, 2011:
I think you're right Sylvain I'll try Romanian into English and let you know!!
Sylvain Lourme Feb 15, 2011:
Oh I see, ...well sorry my Romanian isn't as good as I wish it was. Ha! More seriously, I think the lack of response here seems to indicate a general ignorance, or what's more likely, that the term "comparée" just doesn't mean much in French in this context. Couldn't it be translated as "relative"? Just a thought.
Jack Dunwell (asker) Feb 15, 2011:
Thank you Sylvain This may be because the French is translated from Romanian, so its " puterea instalata/cumparata" in the original original! I wonder if it might be all of a one..." compared installed capacity (but I still don't know what it means)
Sylvain Lourme Feb 15, 2011:
