Italian term

tre esemplari ad un solo effetto

Italian to English Bus/Financial Insurance bureaucratic
This is at the base of a latter ammending a previous agreement:

"La presente appendice, che si compone di 1 pagina dattiloscritta, è stata redatta in tre esemplari ad un solo effetto in Milano, il 9 novembre 2010."

Basically I assume, three copies with equal effect - words to that extent.

Is there a standard UK business-speak for this?

In other words there is non original versus copy distinction.

three copies of like tenor

A usual way of expressing this.
Peer comment(s):

neutral philgoddard : I don't think this is usual at all - it sounds very 19th-century.

Italian term (edited): redatta in tre esemplari ad un solo effetto

engrossed in three (original) parts (each of which deemed to have the same force)

same wording in ES - with a single effect is really otiose and is un-necessary in EN.

Similarly, indentured in two parts - bith fitting together - need not be explained further.

BTW, logically, the esemplari are neither copies nor counterparts but originals.

Example sentence:

An indenture is a legal contract between two parties, particularly for ... that the teeth of the two parts could later be refitted to confirm authenticity.
