German term

kaPN

German to English Medical Medical: Cardiology EKGs
At the end of a German stress EKG: "dringender V.a. kaPN".

I know V.a. is "suspected", but cannot find any reference for what kaPN might be an abbreviation for. Appreciate any suggestions.

Stephen, as lirka says, "ka" means "coronary artery"

polyarteritis nodosa affecting the coronary arteries

kaPN could stand for koronaraterielle Polyarteritis nodosa....

other than that, PN is a common abbreviation for polyneuropathy, but I don't think it would with with 'ka'.
Do you have some other context? Is polyarteritis (also called panarteritis or periarteritis) mentioned anywhere in text?

of couRse, sorry again :):)
Note from asker:
Lirka, Thanks for your suggestions. Actually, the only term you mentioned that occurs elsewhere in the text is polyneuropathy, which the patient does have. So that apparently solves the PN part, I wonder what ka means. I'll keep looking and please let me know if you think of anything. Stephen
