German term

Unterstandgabe

German to English Law/Patents Law: Contract(s)
I am working on a lease agreement, and I came across this word which I am totally unfamiliar with. The sentence in part reads ...darauf besteht, dass auch eine gänzliche der teilweise Unterstandgabe des Objektes an SPAR-Group Members bedingungslos und ohne Zustimmung des Vermieters möglich sein muss........

Yes, I think that's exactly it. I'm just checking through reference material to see if I can confirm that, but I can only find the German phrase, no translation for it in English.

Thanks for correcting my typo; no, I don't speak Russian, and I think it has more to do with granting permission to subdivide a leased property as opposed to granting shelter. It appears to be more of an Austrian-German term, I'm still trying to work it out. Thanks again!

Proposed translations

2 hrs

permission to inhabit/take shelter in

First of all, I think the sentence should read

eine gänzliche ODER teilweise Unterstandgabe des Objektes.

Otherwise you can't parse it.

I believe what they are saying is that someone is being granted the right to take 'Unterstand' (shelter/refuge) in the object of the lease agreement.

j-m Unterstand geben — давать приют кому-л. (In case you don't speak Russian, that means to give someone shelter)

16 hrs

shall be allowed to occupy

The ... members shall be allowed to occupy the property in whole or in part ...

It expresses what is meant but is admittedly perhaps a little clumsy.
