French term

réalisation d'expertise préalable dommages

French to English Bus/Financial Insurance Risk analysis
Good afternoon,

I would truly appreciate some help with this insurance term: it's a 'mouthful and although I kind of understand it, I have no ideas how to best word in it in UK English

"TTT rappelle la suggestion faite à YYY de lancer un appel d'offres pour la réalisation d'expertise préalable dommages et pertes d'exploitation pour: la mise à jour de l'expertise PE RRR de WWW>

Thanks for any help you may provide.

to carry out a prior expert assessment of material damage and business interruption

This looks like it, but one would need more of the context to be certain.

Thank you Neil.

agree philgoddard : I think you could leave out the "expert" - that should be taken as read.

agree B D Finch : Though I think that "pertes d'exploitation" are operating losses. But that was not part of the phrase posted. Also agree with Phil.

to conduct a preliminary damage and.... assessment

Hello,

My try...

I hope this helps.
Note from asker:
Thank you Matthew.
Peer comment(s):

disagree Chris Hall : "preliminary" agrees with "assessment" and not with "damage" i.e. "preliminary / prior assessment of the damage".

Hi Chris! "Preliminary" in "preliminary damage assessment" indeed refers to "assessment." It seems you got confused by the "...", which stand for "pertes d'exploitation. "Have a nice day.
