dense confluent parenchyma
For mammography, 'milchig' here is probably what radiologists call 'dense parenchyma'. However, that is an interpretation rather than a translation, and you might therefore want to add a comment for the client.
"On discovery of the new palpable lump, diagnostic mammography showed confluent dense breast tissue in the region of the palpable lesion. ..."

Comment: "Thanks, Anne! This makes the most sense to me in this context. (Haven't heard anything to the contrary from the client :-) )
And thanks to Jennifer and Andres-Larsen as well."

confluent lactating parenchyma
Prolactin, a known stimulator of PTHrP expression in vivo, had no effect in this in vitro model. Second, PTHrP (1 - 34) secretion levels from confluent lactating mammary cells for 24 hours were evaluated.
