I would say that this idea is better conveyed by "blend" (to blend with), but I really get lost at the finer nuances of "mingle" and "intermingle" (which I do not discard, least of all when natives use this and / or agree with it).
Btw: This is Eva Perón in one of her speeches, isn't it?
