French term

bars droits et taxes

French to English Bus/Financial Finance (general)
Ladite indemnité d’occupation s’entend bars droits et taxes, droits et taxes en sus à la charge du débiteur de ladite indemnité.

I am translating "droits et taxes" as "levies and taxes"' I can't make out what is "bars" Can some one help with a better phrase?

Thanks in advance
Proposed translations (English)
4 +1 par droits et taxes

I agree I think you are right. On checking, I find elsewhere in the document "hors droits et taxes" which I have translated as "excluding levies and taxes". Thank you for pointing out the correction
Bourth (X) Mar 25, 2009:
Yup, has to be "hors".
Rob Grayson Mar 25, 2009:
I can only assume this is an error and it shouldbe "hors droits et taxes" (excluding levies and taxes") – it then makes perfect sense.

par droits et taxes

That's almost certainly a typo based on the context. It should read "par droits et taxes"

I take "s'entendre" in the sense of "is understood to mean". In that context, the word "par" makes more sense than "hors"
Note from asker:
Thanks for your observation. The phrase was somewhat faded and on closer scrutiny and with reference to the context of the entire document, I have decided to go with "hors". Thanks for the trouble taken.
