When you say "amount" you do mean that a sum of money, not a percentage or a fraction? Also are you certain this is a balance sheet? Is it under "attivo" or "passivo"? Is it the balance sheet of a company or a bank? ****What are the other items above and below it in the table?****

Consulted Italian banking expert and sight below, as the term is obscure and could be many things. This seems to be a logical possibility in the context.
