French term
Mobilités
French to English
Other
Human Resources
workforce restructuring
Unfortunately this is primarily a heading being used in a presentation and appears almost without context - I am quite happy to translate Mobilité to Mobility as have found several references that confirm this would be correct (talking about movement from job to job or department to department within a company) However, in a couple of places they refer to the "number of mobilités" or "mobilités due to". I would appreciate any help. :)

changes in headcount (in this context)
Given the context : "changes in headcount due to the implementation of continuous production lines : job losses and job creations"
Just checked this out with a friend who is a DRH, she agrees, and says the text should have used "mouvements" really.

: I fail to see how the original text can be interpreted this way, and find your confidence level surprising.

the confidence level comes from having asked a specialist in the field, and the interpretation still seems correct to me, but maybe I'm (we're) wrong...

: I'm sorry but I disagree. I think the context refers to a reduction in staff numbers, not individual positions (see my suggested answer below).

Yes, you're right. In view of the additional context, this would not be the best solution in this case.

mobility (staff/positions) / staff/positions subject to mobility
I guess it refers in the new economy HR jargon to workers subject to mobility or to positions in a business which imply mobility (ie moving across locations in a same corporation or geographic boundaries etc.).
If this relates specificly to workers, I would not translate it plainly "mobility" as I feel it is offensive from a human and linguistic perspective.

internal transfers
If this is about job changes within the same workplace/company, though it can be used for relocations as well. Internal transfer can be useful for getting experience of a range of jobs within an organisation.

I don't think that there is any information given by the Asker to justify your interpretation (changes in number of staff).
