German to English Medical Medical: Pharmaceuticals approval of new pharma product
Wegen der angestrebten internationalen Vermarktung sollte ein entsprechendes Produkt zumindest auch **traditionsfähig** i.S. von §39a-d AMG sein.

Discussion

Samira Goth (asker) Jun 12, 2007:
I don't have the para, it's a pharmaceutical law text. But it seems that "Traditionsfähigkeit" is a normal term used in connection with the approval of new drugs and preparations.
Ingeborg Gowans (X) Jun 12, 2007:
the paragraph you are alluding to would be important to have, at least the gist of the text, so we can shed some light on the intended meaning here?

See the original text of AMG § 39.a-d:
http://www.gesetze-im-internet.de/amg_1976/index.html

They don't say "traditionsfähig", but "traditionell".

See the English version of AMG (just click AMG --> http://www.bfarm.de/nn_424940/EN/drugs/renewal/renewal-inhal... )

You will find traditional for "traditionell".

Maybe this is also interesting in your specific context: http://www.phytolab.com/service/articles/002_traditional_her...

Maybe traditionsfähig should mean something along the lines of --> eligible for renewal/validation?
