Minutes of a board meeting
This phrase occurs in the minutes of a board meeting.
CONTEXT: "El señor presidente expresa que el Directorio, actuando como ***cuerpo colegiado***, para los efectos del cumplimiento del objeto social, y dentro de los límites legales, reglamentarios y estatutarios, conforme a lo previsto en ..." (I would have liked to post the entire sentence, but it is 14 lines long and highly convoluted....)
I understand the concept, but I'm not quite sure about how to put it in English. It is already in teh Proz glossary, but the entries there do not seem to be applicable here.

: I think "collegial" is more correct :-)

established body
It's a bit redundant, but I would suggest this. It's merely acting in its capacity as a Board.

collegial body
In the UK at least, "collegiate" refers to "college" (part of a university), whereaws "collegial" pertains to "colleague".
Examples:
"There are essentially two models of leadership organization for regulatory authorities: (i) the ***collegial body*** (a board or commission composed of multiple members); and (ii) the single regulator (often given the title of chairperson or president)."

"Commission means the ***collegial body*** of five Commissioners or a quorum thereof as provided by section 201 of the Energy Reorganization Act of 1974"

"There is great value that comes from a process of ***collegial*** and collective deliberation by a group of independent experts, which is absent when a single expert or even when a small working group takes up a subject. Moreover, such a ***collegial body*** should consist of a large enough number of experts (15 members) to ensure broad representation from all regions of the world and all legal systems, with experts from different professional backgrounds."

"Problems on the Duties of the Faculty as a Collegial Body"

"This failure to adjust to a new view of librarians as contributing partners in the governance process often results in the inability to establish a truly collegial body. Predictably, administrators are often unwilling to relinquish the power which resides in the decision-making responsibility, and librarians are often unwilling to accept the responsibility inherent in decision-making."

chartered body
Muchas veces lo vi asi, como chartered body. Lo que no se es si hay diferencia entre collegial y chartered. Mi diccionario no lo explica.
