Ho un testo che parla, appunto di "tasse a breve di lungo periodo" che non riesco capire, perche solitamente tradurrei "a breve" con "short-term" e "lungo period" con "long-term". Ovviamente mi sfugge qualcosa. Ecco uno dei vari contesti (non che aiuti molto):
Nel lungo periodo la componente ciclica della crescita reale tende a zero, il ciclo della inflazione al livello di lungo periodo, il tasso di interesse a breve nominale è pari al tasso a breve reale di lungo periodo più il tasso di inflazione di equilibrio

The nominal interest rate is equivalent to short term real rate over the long term plus the rate of inflation.
I think they are focusing on the fact that a short-term real rate (single observation) cannot be used. Statistically, there would be too much noise. But the short term rate observed over a longer period. i.e., a 1 month rate observed for 2-5 years.
