REGOLAZIONE CORRENTE MINIMA
La corrente minima permette di eliminare il ricoprimento meccanico della valvola e a migliorare la sensibilità del joystick sulla apertura della valvola proporzionale. Il valore della corrente minima può essere variato tra lo 0% e il 50% della corrente massima impostata. Per aumentare il valore della corrente minima ruotare in senso orario il trimmer Imin.

I remember this from the days when we used to translate for all the hydraulic components manufacturers around here. Overlap refers to the relative positions of the valve spool and the port as you can see from the link. I think the word "meccanico" is used to differentiate from the use of the word overlap when describing combustion engine intake and exhaust valves, where overlap is a dynamic concept indicating that the intake valve already opens before the exhaust valve has fully closed, so the opening and closing times overlap but there are no overlapping components as such - of course this is not the case of your text, which, with its mention of joysticks and the like, is very probably describing a control system for a directional control valve in a hydraulic circuit.
