Italian term

bilanciere

Italian to English Tech/Engineering Mechanics / Mech Engineering
From instructions for lifting train coach in case of derailment:

My question is whether or not "equaliser" is appropriate in this context, or "balancer". Or should I simply call it an "iron beam or rod"?

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Just reading some erm US documentation and came across this with a picture. I'll give it top confidence (although I'm sure "equalizer" will be fine)
Cheers
