Afaik with this once-firing technique the glaze is applied to the tile body before the tile is fired, so as it coalesces over the surface there is also a high degree of interaction between glaze and body. I suspect that this concept is implicit if you simply specify that the material is fully vitrified stoneware, but - depending on your text - a few words of explanation may be helpful.
