For 9 consecutive months there I worked for an exporting company (Green Fields Mexico) as a International Sales Intern, where I learned to manage offers/quotations, telephone prospecting, client requests, daily sales reports, and consulting development of sales strategies and market research. Apart, I also received my first translation experience, translating and proofreading (Spanish to English) marketing materials (product labels, specifications and catalog) and other documents (regarding the organic food industry) sent to clients. I also learned business (sales, logistics, international commerce) terminology and the agricultural industry in both Spanish and English to help reach the international organic food market.
Since the fall of 2010, I live in Mexico City and work full-time as a freelance translator, utilizing the linguistic skills that I have accumulated. In the meantime, I translate from Spanish to English while managing a good balance of Portuguese-English translations. More Less |
