Russian term

уверенный путь

Russian to English Marketing Marketing / Market Research presentation about a city
This phrase is important as it's repeated throughout the presentation. It's sort of a slogan and I'm having a bit of difficulty coming up with something short and 'catchy'. It is shown on several slides of the presentation.

It's used in the following context:

город комфортной работы и жизни
город для инвестиций
уверенный путь в будущее

This phrase is repeated in other parts of the text and then towards the end as:
Самара уверенный путь в будущее

So far I have "a sure path to the future" and "Samara is a sure path to the future" but I'm not thrilled with the way it sounds in English. If anyone has some suggestions I would really appreciate it.

So many helpful suggestions There are so many helpful suggestions that it's impossible for me to pick one as the "one correct answer" so I'll leave it up to the community to decide.
Alexandra Schneeuhr Mar 30, 2014:
Thank you Sarah!
Sarah McDowell (asker) Mar 30, 2014:
Thanks! Thanks for these ideas Alexandra. I like "steady track to the future" a lot.
Alexandra Schneeuhr Mar 29, 2014:
With Evgenia I don't have a ready answer, but I'd also prefer to look for an existing cliche with the same or similar message instead of translating this literally. "Facing the future with confidence"? "Shaping our/the future together"? "On a steady track to the future (success) "?... just thinking aloud :))

a city of many opportunities

Sarah, I would probably not translate it word for word, I would probably focus on the connotation and its about the opportunities that the city gives you for you to have a sure pass to the future...It's my understanding.

reliable way/path

in the context of the presentation, I would use "reliable", which has such meanings as confident, trustworthy, certain, determined, which is what it seems the presentation is about.

Naturally, there's a million or so other ways of saying this. Take your pick.

disagree The Misha : Jeez, did you even bother reading what the lady asked about? I am sure she also has access to a dictionary.

При этом я целиком солидарен с блестящими вариантами, предложенными The Mish’ей и Alexandr’ой, и прошу считать это моим “agree” в поддержку коллег!
