I took for granted that rense in this case means \"decontaminate\" and had nothing to do with personal hygiene. if this is not the case the Norwegian text is using the wrong word to describe what the tent can be used for

: you're confusing "rense" with "rengjøre" and they certainly are "false friends" in this case. Consider the difference between "renseanlegg" and "rengjøringsanlegg"
